“The Masamune Top Cap lets you experience a whole new level of efficiency and comfort. For many the Masamune Top Cap is the perfect combination of smoothness and efficiency. This is the smoother but less efficient version of the two. Due to its minimal blade exposure and smaller blade gap, the Masamune Top Cap is both efficient and smooth. Optional PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is used to create a chemically inert biocompatible coating with high resillience for the Dark Edition Top Cap or the high performance Titanium, with a lighter weight and perfect feel.

Now the really interesting part is that all Masamune parts are fully interchangeable with the Masamune Nodachi variant, giving multiple possibilities of mildness or efficiency depending on the combination of baseplate and top cap (and even preferred handle).
